Rachel is an intuitive ceremonial tattoo artist, altar facilitator, sacred space weaver, shamanic practitioner and owner of Chrysalis Tattoo Alchemy which lies in the hinterlands of the Sunshine Coast, Australia.
Rachel has been offering ceremonial tattoo rituals for over 7 years, continually evolving her practice to embody the deeper layers of her own spiritual expansion.
Rachel’s work goes far beyond just tattoo, gathering the women and weaving sacred spaces of remembrance and honouring, initiating others into this work and forever being a student of the Wise Ones and Pachamama.
Rachel's tattoo ceremonies are all about honouring the ancient and honouring the stories of all whom come forth to receive. This work is seen as sacred medicine, often weaving in energy work, shamanic healing rooted in the Andean lineage of the Seven Rays (which stems from the lands where part of her ancestry resides), vibrational medicine, sound medicine, drum journeying and intuition. Through this alchemy, Rachel unites her medicine work with intention, ritual and ceremony, bridging them into a ceremonial soundscape to honour the blood rite of sacred marking where tatu is used as a form of healing, spiritual transformation and soul alignment.
Rachel incorporates this through a gentle machine method of tattooing, along with minimal hand poked parts when called.
Through her intuitive connection to Spirit, Rachel’s evolving tattoo medicine is often channelled for her clients based on their own unique personal energy signature, tailored with guidance and medicine from the elements and sacred symbols within each piece, and activated with intentions that come through for each client. Some clients request to be blindfolded, not revealing what has come through until the marking is already marked upon the skin. Each session is unique to each individual and what is being called to be woven during the time.
Rachel uses her knowledge on the metaphysical, energy centres and meridians to guide clients into understanding the energetics of placements upon the body where the marking is being called to go, and why.
The medicine within the markings focus strongly on the connection to the earth and cosmos, healing botanicals, medicine plants, animal guides, and sacred symbolism. It is an alchemical process that acts as a sacred talisman, symbol and tool for transformation for the wearer~ an extension of their soul assisting them with the embodiment of their souls true essence, and supporting them on their own personal evolution and growth.
Rachel see’s tattoos as an expression of our souls essence, a part of us and our medicine that we are here to bring to the earth- bringing the marking to physical form and marking upon the skin is like bringing part of our essence to light.
